TOGED is a non-governmental organization that brings together the largest and most important game developer companies in Turkey, thus realizing the sector representation at a high level. Its founding objectives are to develop the local game ecosystem, to train qualified manpower, to increase public awareness, and to ensure standardization. The Association takes an active role in the creation of the Digital Game Strategy Report.
Thanks to the profile of its members, it constitutes the most important pillar of the services intended to be constructed within the scope of the Project. TOGED does not limit its goals and activities only to the private sector, but also carries out intensive studies on informing public institutions and creating cooperation areas.
TOGED also attaches importance to international representation and promotion of the sector. Our association, which has been representing the national game developer profile in international events for years, continues its efforts to create events and platforms that can bring together our developer members and important international sector actors. Training, mentoring, evaluation, content for developers who receive support within the ODTU TEKNOKENT ATOM program, TOGED, which provides support such as production and one-to-one coaching, starts its support from the pre-incubation stage in order to bring new developers and entrepreneurs to the sector.
With our project we realized as the Turkish Game Developers Association, we remember the development history of the mobile game industry in our country, which has gained momentum since the beginning of the 2000s, as well as past studies and to leave resources for future generations.
We aim to make it an encyclopedia/archive work to be prepared in Turkish/English, both online-based and printed.
Goal 1: As TOGED, within the scope of our project, to provide a resource that will positively affect the success and development of companies in the sector and start-ups that are entering the sector rapidly, by following all the games developed and all companies that have taken part.
Goal 2: To be a bibliography for academic studies, which are the historical reflections of the development of the mobile game industry.
Goal 3: To ensure that our inventory, which will be prepared within the scope of our project, is used by all companies in the Turkish mobile game industry and the mobile games that have been made in our international promotional activities.
Goal 4: To turn the rapidly growing mobile game industry in our country into a bibliography that can be used for sector analysis and a website where they can monitor sector activities up-to-date for foreign investors.
Goal 5: To do mapping work for the digital game industry.
